About Avery

Hello! I’m Avery Gallman, a Licensed Professional Art Therapist Associate and Nationally Registered Art Therapist. I hold a Master’s in Counseling with an Art Therapy concentration from the University of Louisville. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns in a range of settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, schools, and community programs. I also have experience working with children and teens navigating moderate to severe intellectual, developmental, and cognitive disabilities. My training in expressive therapies provides me with the knowledge and expertise needed to foster positive change for my clients in any stage they may be at in life.

My counseling practice is rooted in a person-centered approach, emphasizing empathy, respect, and collaboration. I integrate art therapy with elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic work, and attachment-based practices to provide a holistic and tailored therapeutic experience. By combining creativity with body awareness and exploring thought patterns, I help clients build deeper self-understanding, heal emotional wounds, and strengthen relational connections. Together, we create a safe space where growth, healing, and resilience can thrive.

In our work together, I aim to create a validating, supportive space where you can express yourself, build resilience, and move toward your goals whether that’s through art, conversation, or a blend of both. I’m here to guide and support you on your journey to greater well-being.

Avery’s rates are $120 for ongoing 45-minute appointments following a 60-minute intake session at a rate of $150.
